Hope and Arctic Themed Wrapping Paper

Hello and happy Monday.  I'm popping in for a quick post before getting my dog dressed up as Batman (Batdog?) for Halloween.  (see end of post)

I thought of 2 card ideas in spin class this morning--both of them for the CAS-ual Fridays #159: Fight Like a Girl Challenge.

On this card, I die cut the Linked Fri Dies from white and three shades of pink to create my left border.  My sentiment combines a die cut from PTI and a sentiment from CASual Fridays Hope Ribbon stamps.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Monday Thinking of You.

My second card idea uses the other pieces of the pink Fri-Dies links.  I overlapped them to form a grounding base for my card, and then put a die cut ribbon and sentiment from Hope Ribbon on my popped up front panel.

I cannot decide which card I like best.  What I really hope, is that both of these cards sit in my stash for a really long time....meaning that I have no one to send them to for a really long time...

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

Last up is a little piece of stamped wrapping paper that I created based on the video at this week's Make it Monday #266:  That's a Wrap.  Lexi has some great tips on creating custom wrapping paper for small gifts--she even has some downloadable templates with guide lines for stamping.

Rather than show this paper in use, cutely wrapping up a fake gift, I am showing it flat, because I will keep it this way until I actually have a gift to use it for.  I created this wrapping paper using stamps from PTI Warmest Wishes.  It's too cute to sacrifice for a photo shoot.  I'll probably make a matching tag when I actually use it.

That's it for me.  Batdog and I are taking Sarah trick or treating downtown.

Apparently, Sherlock is very into Halloween.  He dressed up as Superdog at Kamp Kanine last week. Here is a picture of the photos the staff took of him that day.  Sherlock will pretty much let anyone do pretty much anything to him.

Happy Halloween

Happy Little Stampers Case The Designer November 2016

Wow, it is November already.  Hard to believe that the year is almost over.

We have a special challenge at Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer this month.  Half of the design team is putting their CASE cards up again for another opportunity for you to CASE.

Perhaps you missed a card the first time around....or you liked CASEing something so much, you want to try it again.

Whatever your approach, I hope you will play along with us this month.

I am reposting the card I provided when it was my turn to post the inspiration card in April.

Here is a link to the original post, with more information about how I made this card.

Please head over to the Happy Little Stampers CASE the Designer blog to see all the possible inspiration cards, and happy crafting.

The 12 Kits of Occasions: October, 2016

It's time for our October 12 Kits of Occasions group post.  Our host this month is Michele from I Card Everyone and her theme is "Let's be Thankful".  Michele sent a wonderful kit full of beautiful patterned papers, some fun fabric trims, die cute, and much, much more.

Here is a peek at the kit Michele sent.

There is a lot to see, so I'll get right to it.

I am entering this last card at CAS(E) This Sketch #196, where they are having a special challenge featuring cards with pets.

I used so many of the elements in this kit, but still have so much left over.  Thanks so much, Michele, for sending such a wonderful kit.

That's it for me today.  Please visit us over at the 12 Kits of Occasions blog, where you can see a list of all the other designers and click over to their blogs.  You can also see who is our special Guest Designer this month.

Beautiful Day and Happy Birthday

I made a card featuring purple, CASE-ing myself here, joining fellow paper crafters on the Hop to Stop to raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence.  I used stamps and inks from Altenew--I just love these peony stamps.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

My friends are hosting (Tracey) and guest designing (Kim) over at Inspired by...All the Little Things #29, so I had to squeak in at the last minute and play along.  We were given this inspirational photo, and I decided to ink up a brand new stamp set.

I loved all those pretty leaves in fall colors--they remind me of what it looked like last weekend in Maine when I went to visit my daughter at college.  In a nod to the view out of my window in San Diego, I created a scene with palm trees in fall colors--even some leaves falling off of those palm trees (which also never happens).

I am also linking this card up at AAA Cards #76, where the theme is masculine, and I also happen to be the Guest Designer this week, Seize the Birthday: Lots of Leaves and Simon Says Monday: Autumn.

CASology Week #221: Cure

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is cure.

I still had my dress die out from this card, so decided to stick with that same theme for this card.  I did my stamping on a panel of white card stock, then die cut the dress directly out of the portion where I stamped the ribbon.

When I put the dress back in, I layered it up with a couple of pink dresses.

Now it's your turn.  How does CURE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

AAA Cards #76...Guest Designer...Masculine

Today I am here as Guest Designer for AAA Cards Game #76.  This card of mine was picked as the winner of their Game #72 Challenge.

The challenge this week is Masculine.

My 'go to' images for masculine cards tend to be trees, leaves or stars.  Today, I went with these fabulous graphic trees by Simon Says Stamp.  I colored them with Copic Markers.

I hope you will play along with AAA Cards this week.

Time Out #68...Reminder...Just a Note

Hello there is still time to play along with the current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a CASE challenge.  Take a look at the gorgeous card Ardyth has provided for our inspiration.

I was inspired by Ardyth's bold red flowers, her black sentiment that overlaps the flowers and the band of gold and black at the bottom of her card.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is  Marina, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #220: Coffee

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is coffee.  Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't drink coffee and doesn't have a huge stash of coffee stamps?  My husband even worked for Peet's Coffee for years and years.

I do like the taste of coffee, but only if it is in ice cream form.  So, that is what I did for my card.  A triple scoop of coffee ice cream, because if it's on a card, the calories don't count.  And, a cherry on top because, why not?  (Actually some of the coffee ice cream is actually mocha, because chocolate makes everything better, even coffee ice cream).

I am also linking this card up at Addicted to CAS #99 where their code word this week is also coffee.

Now it's your turn.  How does coffee inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

ColourQ #364...Peace on Earth

It's time for another challenge at ColourQ.  I think these colors are perfect for Halloween, but I feel kind of done already with Halloween crafting, so I decided to play with my new What the Doodle Ornament stamps from PTI.  One more card for my holiday card stash.

Please head over to the ColourQ blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team.  I hope you will play along this week.
