Happy Little Stamper December Sketch Challenge

It is time for a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch we have for you this month:

I used PTI Warmest Wishes stamps and dies to create a scene for my focal point, and used Copic markers to color it in.  The stars are coated with Glossy Accents for extra shine.

Please visit the Happy Little Stampers Sketch Challenge blog for more ideas and inspiration for this sketch.  I hope you will play along.  You have the entire month of November.

The 12 Kits of Occasions: November, 2015

It's time for our November 12 Kits of Occasions post.  I cannot believe how quickly this year is marching along.  This month, Kim is our hostess, and she sent a wonderful kit, filled with cute and fun supplies.  Her theme was 'Have a Holly Jolly Christmas and a Festive Fall'.  I just loved everything Kim sent, especially these adorable MFT mice.  I actually pretended that they were rats, in honor of the sweet pet rats we had a few years ago.

Here is a peek at the kit Kim sent out.

There are a lot of blogs to hop along to, so I'll get right to my cards.

I used so many of the cute images in this kit, and had such fun doing it.  Thanks so much, Kim, for sending such a wonderful kit.

That's it for me today.  Please visit us over at the 12 Kits of Occasions blog, where you can see a list of all the other designers and click over to their blogs.  You can also see the two lucky gals who Kim invited to Guest Design with us this month.

Thanksgiving Weekend Wrap Up

Hello and happy Sunday.  I was fortunate enough to have lots of crafty time this weekend and I was able to do something I have not done in a long time--make lots of cards just for fun and play along with a bunch of challenges.  So let's get right to it.

First up is a card where I was inspired by the photo and sketch at Fusion {Blue Christmas} and the challenge at Paper Players #273 Tic Tac Toe, where I am using the diagonal (Snowflake, Sparkle or Shine, Die Cut).

I stamped a background pattern using PTI Fab Flakes and Hero Arts Ombre Inks (Pool to Navy).  I used the SSS A2 Curved edge die on my front panel and also to create the curved banner for my sentiment from Avery Elle.  Hard to see in the picture, but those snowflakes are all glittered up with WOS and Stickles.

Next up is a mostly white card using the Serendipity Stamps Bird Die, which I cut multiple times and adhered all over my card front to create texture and dimension.  This card from Kim inspired my idea.  I heat embossed the sentiment in black on vellum from PTI Wet Paint Holiday, and added some blue sequins.

I am entering this card at SSCB #49: Happy Holidays, Merry Monday #181: Blue and White with Texture, Simply Create Too #99: Snow or use mostly white, and Addicted to CAS: Dimension.

How about some penguins?  My next card features a trio of penguins from PTI Holiday Folk Mini and uses the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #150.  Hard to see in this photo, but I used embossing paste and a stencil to add snow to the top of the card behind the penguins.

I am also entering this card at AAA Cards #53: Anything Goes and The Challenge #52: Create a Christmas Card.

Fantastic video this week at Make it Monday #252 reminding us about Layered stamping on Kraft, so I used that technique along with the new Fab Flakes stamps to make my next card.  I used a stacked die cut 'season's' for my sentiment, and had the bottom layer white and offset by a little, to mimic the stamping.  Hard to see, but I used the Lil Inkers Circles and Diamonds cover plate for a little quilted texture on my stamped panel.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes and Christmas Card Challenges #52 Anything Goes.

Ready for another penguin?  This one is from PTI Warmest Wishes, and I colored him as well as all the other bits on this card with Copic markers.  I used the sketch from FMS #214 and am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #172: Make Your Mark.

Are you still with me?  Sorry for the long post--this is my last project to share today.  Another set of tags, this one inspired by the challenge at Muse Christmas Visions where the theme is red and green plus a tree.  This is my first time playing along at this fun challenge.

I used a set from Clearly Whimsey that I won last year, and made 2 each of 4 different patterns of graphic Christmas trees.  Each tree is decorated with a different type of red bling, and the tags are die cut from Paper Smooches Quote Die.

Well, that's it for me today.

Tag You're It #35...Merry & Bright

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.  Happy Thursday to all my friends, far and near.

I have had a wonderful day so far, running in a local turkey trot, puttering around in my craft room and anticipating a Thanksgiving dinner with my family at a local restaurant--i.e. no cooking or cleaning up for me.  This year, as always, I am so very grateful for all my friends in the blogging community, and especially those friends I have actually had the privilege of meeting in person.

There is still time to play along at Tag You're It #35, where we have Tracey's colorful tag to inspire us.  We also have Tracey to thank for all the wonderful tag inspiration she and her guests have provided for the past 25 days.  Click here to start at Day 1 of the 25 Tags of Christmas and be prepared to be inspired.

I was inspired by the red Christmas light on Tracey's tag, as well as the polka dots on her tag.  I used PTI Holiday Lights for my tag, and stamped a background from PTI Confetti Toss for the bottom layer of my tag.

While my Misti was all set up, I made several of these tags in a variety of colors, and will package these up as a little holiday gift set.

I am linking these tags up at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes, Christmas Card Challenges #51 Anything Goes, CAS on Sunday #72 Christmas, AAA Cards #50 Anything Goes and Happy Little Stampers December Challenge: Tag.

Time Out #45...Warm Winter Wishes

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  This week, we are inspired by words:

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies

I was inspired to pull out my newest snowflake die and stamp set called Quilted Winter from PTI.  I die cut and stamped the snowflake in traditional red and green for Christmas, and then adhered everything to a square scalloped tag and then a card.

I hope that you will take some Time Out to play along with us over the next two weeks.  Please see the Time Out challenge blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team and our Guest Designer Ashwini.

PTI November 2015 Blog Hop

Hello.  I have a quick post to share some tags I made that were inspired by this photo for the PTI November Blog Hop.

That tree thing on the left side of the photo reminded me of the bottle brush trees in Joyful Christmas, so I made some tags using that set in colors inspired by this photo as well.

I used Delicata Silver for the base of the trees and silver shimmer paper for the tag topper.

I made several more tags using different color combinations, and will be packaging these tags up as a gift.

I am also entering these tags at CASual Fridays #145: Precious Metals,  AAA Cards #53: Anything Goes, CAS on Sunday #72:  Christmas, and Christmas Card Challenges #51:  Anything Goes.
