We are about midway through our Time Out Challenge #39 'Make Your Mark' and there is still time for you to play along. How about some additional inspiration?
This time, I decided to play along with the optional twist of a monochrome palette.
I took 4 colors of Distress markers, scribbled them on a piece of water color paper, and then added lots and lots of water. This is what my paper looked like after it dried.
Then, I used the PTI Hexagon Cover Plate die to cut the entire piece of paper. Using the die outline as a guide, I adhered many of the hexagons on to my card front, keeping the hexagons in their original rows, but varying the length and placement of each row, until I had a pattern that felt pleasing to my eye and left a space for my sentiment.
Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from the Design team and from our lovely Guest Designer, Marika.
Don't forget, there is a prize from our sponsor, Uniko.
I am also going to enter this card at Virginia's View #18: Geometric Patterns, Addicted to CAS #71: Blue and Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge: Colouring.
